Okay, the office is buzzing. The Thrilled To Be Chilled Swim is tomorrow and we can't wait!
Robert's been to pick up the special awards that our swimmers will be receiving and they look great. We've also received our certificates and they look pretty special.
We've got the kit all packed, numbers on swim caps and the team should be heading out this afternoon to get the course laid out.
We're hoping that if you are not able to swim with us tomorrow that you'll still have the time to come along and cheer on our swimmers who have been training hard for our very first Thrilled To Be Chilled Swim. The first swim starts at 9:30am.
Drone Scotland will be filming the event for us so we are excited to see some great aeriel footage of the swim, you will be able to see this on their Facebook page, www.Facebook.com/dronescotlandltd.
The Sailing Club will be opening their cafe with some great homemade soup and hot drinks to keep you warm.
Our swimmers have been training hard as you can seen from the video below.
We've got some great volunteers helping out, along with our kayakers, first aiders, paramedics and a doctor.
We're all ready. Are you?
Winter Swim Sessions
Please note there will be no winter swim session on Sunday the 5th February as the Loch is being used for a sailing event.
Weekly Total Immersion Swim Sessions
Monday's sessions are proving to be very popular, so come along and join us.
The coaching session will be taken by Robert Hamilton and will be a great opportunity to improve your technique and fitness to give you a head start for the 2017 Open Water Season.
Robert will bring his experience as a Total Immersion Coach plus his coaching experience which has included coaching swimmers to Olympic Trial level to provide interesting and challenging swim sessions. For more information click here.
Total Immersion Workshop
If you can swim continuously for 50 metres or more and would like to work on increased efficiency and speed then our One Day Fishlike Freestyle Workshops will set you on the path to achieving these goals. They are held in various locations throughout the UK and are the first choice not only for experienced triathletes and open water swimmers but also for those who are preparing for their first experience of the sport or who want to swim for fitness and fun.
Our workshops in November were a fantastic success, our next workshop will be the 18th March 2017.
